"You are assigned to labor in the Philippines Bacolod Mission"

"Sister Dixon,
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Philippines Bacolod Mission. It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Hiligaynon language.

The Lord will reward you for the goodness of your life. Greater blessings and more happiness than you have yet experienced await you as you humbly and prayerfully serve he Lord in this labor of love among His children."---source, Jessica's mission call dated January 22, 2013

Jessica has less than a week in the Philippine Islands, Negros, Occidental.  Her mission call promises have been realized as she has been rewarded for the goodness of her life, and she has received greater blessings and more happiness than she had yet experienced.

A quote from President Gordon B.  Hinckley:
"You will come to know that what appears to be a sacrifice will prove instead to be the greatest investment that you will ever make."

Here are 18 months captured in a few photos of a place that will always hold a tender spot in our hearts.

"Many young women are serving missions. Many are preparing to serve, not because they aren't married or have nothing else to do; but because they have a desire to serve and therefore are being called to the work. The reason so many are going is because in the next generation, Heavenly Father will be sending His Priesthood army to the earth and He wants to send them to mothers who have been properly trained and taught in the gospel. What better training can a young woman have than that of serving a mission."--President Gordon B. Hinckley
